Philippines, GO!

Philippine Pokemon trainers rejoice! Pokemon GO is now officially in the Philippine shores and is ready to download from both Android Play Store and Apple Store.

Official Statement from Niantic

Trainers in 15 new countries and regions across Asia and Oceania can now officially download Pokémon GO from the Play Store or App Store. Discover Pokémon in the world around you!

Countries and regions include: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Solomon Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, and Palau.

As everyone is ecstatic with the news, some trainers will not be able to catch ’em all for now.

According to Niantic, the developer of Pokemon GO, here are the compatible devices for the game (source):

Android

  • Android 4.4 to Android 6.0.1
    (Android N will not be supported until the official Android release)
  • Preferred resolution of 720×1280 pixels (Not optimized for tablet)
  • Strong internet connection (Wi-Fi, 3G, or 4G)
  • GPS and Location Services

iOS

  • iPhone 5+
  • iOS 8+
  • Strong internet connection (Wi-Fi, 3G, or 4G)
  • GPS and Location Services
  • Jailbroken devices are not supported

ASUS users are unfortunate as some of their models are not compatible with the game:

  • Asus Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5 S
    Asus Zenfone 3 ZE520KL
    Asus Zenfone 3 ZE552KL
    Asus Zenfone Go 4.5 ZB453KG and 5.5
    Asus Zenfone 6 (old)
    Asus Zenfone Selfie

Recent version of the game (0.31) removed the Pokeball bonus scoring feature and 3-step tracking.
