Beyond the space

The USS Enterprise star fleet are back for its thirteenth film for the Star Trek movie franchise. They continue their journey to space, to explore unknown civilization and to boldly go where no man has gone before. Lead cast Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto reprise their roles as Captain Kirk and Spock, along with Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, who played Sulu that turns out to be gay in the new film and the final appearance of Anton Yelchin, who died in a tragic car accident last month before the release of the movie.

Opening sequence is almost the same with the prior film but nonetheless the scene still gave the audience a fun start. Plot wise, I noticed that there’s a “revenge” element in the three films wherein the villain is a former enemy/ally of the enterprise and will require a device to fulfill his vengeance. Also Kirk or Spock will go to a near death experience whenever they face the villain of the story. It’s a cycle but as a fan you will still enjoy movies like these.   Cracking of jokes are also quite noticeable in the movie especially Bones and Spock. Knowing that Spock is a half Vulcan, which is understandable that he has a robot-like thinking and very logical most of the times, their punchlines sure gave most of us laughs.

If you’re into arts and graphics, you will enjoy the visual effects they used to make the scenery which looks real and superb. Camera angles are shot in the right position and most importantly, you will enjoy watching it in IMAX.
Watch it watch it! Special thanks to United International Pictures and Geekcraft for the invite.Overall the movie is great. The cast and visuals made the third movie of JJ Abramverse on par with the Star Wars: The force awakens. 9/10 for me.
